The U.S. aid worker rescued by Navy SEALs in Somalia in January said she's thankful for the support she's received.
Jessica Buchanan was kidnapped by Somali pirates last October while she was working with a demining unit.
"I am overwhelmed and so very grateful for the prayers and support my family and i have received from people around the world," the 32-year-old said in a statement issued from her home in Goode, Va.
Buchanan is asking that everyone respect her desire for privacy as she recovers and transitions back to everyday life.
