Soaked Houston Braces for Cold Front

Ad Feedback

Much of Houston is underwater Tuesday after a storm system plowed through the region the day before.

The deluge dumped more rain in a few hours than the city normally gets in a month, flooding streets and freeways.

"I came out and all the roads were flooded so I ended up just walking over there, but it's insane," one resident exclaimed. "I never knew we were going to get this much flooding."

The storm also brought strong winds that ripped the roofs from some homes.

The Houston Chronicle reports that light drizzle is expected Tuesday. And a cold front is expected to sweep in on Wednesday and Thursday.
