Continuing the trend of modern-day takes on childhood favorites, "Snow White and the Huntsman" hits theatres Friday to compete with box office favorites, "Men in Black 3," "Battleship" and "The Avengers."

"Snow White" is expected to be tough competition. The epic fairy tale with a twist is action-packed and full of beautiful imagery.

The war drama "For Greater Glory" also releases this weekend, although the film is rated R and for mature audiences.
