On Friday, the Atlanta Braves will induct the 45-year-old into the Braves Hall of Fame and retire his No. 29 jersey.
Few would disagree that he's effectively secured a place in baseball lore.
But he says in his new book, Starting and Closing: Perseverance, Faith, and One More Year, that he'd be "disappointed" if he left this earth and was only remembered as a good pitcher.
