Fire crews in Colorado are working to contain a wildfire along the mountainous area just southwest of Denver.
At least two people have been found dead within the wildfire area, although authorities have not yet linked the deaths to the blaze.
Fast-moving flames spread out Monday, destroying as many as 25 homes by Tuesday.
More than 900 residents have been evacuated. A shelter was set up at an area high school as people were forced to leave their homes.
Local sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelley said the wildfire may have been caused by a controlled burn last week that sparked back up after strong wind gusts.
More than 100 firefighters are working to extinguish the flames, but high winds are slowing the firefighting efforts.
