The movie "October Baby" had a strong opening weekend at the box office.
The film was inspired by the true story of a young girl named Gianna Jessen, who survived an abortion and later went in search for her birth mother.
"In the midst of this, it really becomes a story of how powerful forgiveness can be and how liberating the choice to forgive can be," Jon Erwin, the film's co-director, told CBN News.
The movie finished number eight at the box office, bringing in an estimated $1.7 million.
"October Baby" opened in just 390 theaters. Most movies open in 2,000 - 3,000 venues.
