One Tennessee town is suspending prayers before school meetings and football games.
The Lenoir County School Board stopped prayer after receiving complaints from three different groups, including Americans United, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Appignani Humanist Legal Center.
They claim prayers at school functions are unconstitutional.
Meanwhile, Lenoir School Superintendent Wayne Miller told the Knoxville News Sentinel that a long-term decision about prayer will be made after the school system consults its attorney.
