The selfless act of one Michigan woman will save the life of her co-worker's husband.
Lisa Moutihno is a district court administrator, and found out that Michael Brunson, the husband of her colleague Georgia, needed a kidney transplant.
Without hesitation she volunteered.
Michael has undergone dialysis treatments for five years. His blood type made it difficult for him to find a donor match.
Moutihno explained that it was an "easy decision" to donate her own kidney. She said it's time for Michael to have the quality of life he deserves.
"You're a blessing from God because it looked like there was no hope at all," Michael said.
"She's such a special person and I say thanks, and every time I see her I want to hug her," Georgia added. "What do you do for someone that has done, is willing to do something like this? It's so humbling, it really is."
Moutihno had never met Michael until last week, but they agree this new bond will last the rest of their lives.
