A judge has made a tentative ruling in the case of a NASA computer specialist who said he was fired for talking about Intelligent Design.
California Superior Court Judge Ernest Hiroshige agreed instead with NASA's argument claiming David Coppedge was let go because he was combative and did not keep his skills sharp.
Coppedge argued he was demoted in 2009 and then fired in 2011 because NASA discriminated against his belief that the universe must have had a creator.
His attorney argued during the trial that a supervisor once told Coppedge to "stop pushing your religion."
Coppedge is a self-described evangelical Christian. He's active in the Intelligent Design sphere and runs a website that interprets scientific discoveries through the lens of Intelligent Design.
