More than 200 Alabama Christians joined at the state capitol this week to voice their disapproval of President Obama's support of same-sex marriage.
Ministers joined with congregation members to protest and to voice their support for the traditional definition of marriage and family.
The crowd prayed for the nation and asked for government leaders to return to more biblical values.
"Our hope today is that ministers from all over Alabama and all over the nation will rise up and say we must return to biblical morality, we must return to biblical truth, and if we will return to those standards, we believe that will lead us to prosperity," Johnny Jernigan, from City Church in Mobile, said.
Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore told the crowd the church as been silenced by political correctness.
More than 200 people attended the rally.
