The films "Frankenweenie" and "Taken 2" debut in theaters across the nations this weekend.
"Frankenweenie" is the spooky, stop-motion tale of how a boy brings his favorite pooch back to life.
"Frankenweenie can, at times, feel macabre-like when the resurrected Sparky chases water spurts that spray out of his stitched seams after he takes a drink from his bowl," Plugged-In Online film critic Bob Hoose writes.
"Taken 2" is the PG-13-rated sequel to "Taken," again starring Liam Neeson.
"Liam Neeson's daughter was kidnapped last go-round," Hoose writes. "This time it's him. So how does that work? Who's gonna rescue whom? But maybe a better question is: How many people have to die in the process?"
Focus on the Family film critic Bob Waliszewski reviewed both films, on CBN News Channel Morning News, Oct. 5. Click play to see his comments.
