For the second time in three years the Giants won the World Series, something no other National League team has done in nearly four decades.
Overjoyed, thousands of baseball fans hit the streets of San Francisco Sunday night to celebrate their 4-3 victory against the Detroit Tigers.
"This is the greatest thing," Giants fan Anthony said, with an elated smile on his face. "The Giants are my favorite team."
"The rain in Detroit couldn't dampen the drive, talent, and determination of the San Francisco Giants team tonight," Mayor Edwin Lee said. "Once again, the Giants brought our city together as we all cheered on our hometown heroes to another remarkable World Series victory."
