A Lifeway research poll of 1,000 Protestant pastors found they favor Republican candidate Mitt Romney by a margin of more than 3 to 1.
Fifty-seven percent of those polled said they'll vote for Romney. Seventeen percent said they plan to vote for President Barack Obama and 22 percent are still undecided.
Eighty-two percent said Romney's Mormon faith did not affect their choice.
Lifeway Research Director Scott McConnell said that number shows most are voting for someone who shares their values rather than their faith.
In 2010, a Lifeway poll found 75 percent of Protestant pastors did not consider Mormons to be Christians.
