A group of parents in Southern California are threatening to sue a school district over Yoga classes in public schools.
The Encinitas Union School District in San Diego are offering the yoga classes.
The Jois Foundation, which promotes Yoga, provided a grant to fund the classes and also trains the teachers.
Students learn traditional Eastern breathing techniques and poses, causing concern by some parents that their children will be indoctrinated into Eastern religions.
An attorney for the parents accused the school district of using taxpayer dollars to promote Yoga and Hinduism.
The district superintendent says the district, which selects the teachers and sets up the curriculum, has removed any religious content from the classes.
