Hundreds of people are cashing in on the iPhone 5 frenzy by getting paid to wait in the incredibly long lines for the new Apple gadget.

Apple Inc. stores from London to Hong Kong have seen lines wrapped around entire city blocks since the latest iPhone released Friday.

Many people waited overnight while others camped out for a week to get their hands on the coveted phone.

The latest iPhone is thinner, lighter, has a taller screen, and can work on faster "4G" mobile networks.

Apple received 2 million orders in the first 24 hours of announcing the iPhone 5, more than twice the number for the iPhone 4S after it was launched a year ago.
