College ministries across the country are working overtime this month to welcome students back to school.
Studies show new students usually decide within the first few weeks just where and how they'll spend their time on campus.
The InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and CRU, which used to be know as the Campus Crusade for Christ, are anticipating a record year for ministry.
Last year, InterVarsity saw more than 3,300 students in the United States come to faith in Christ -- an increase of 700 students from 2010 and double the number from seven years ago.
InterVarsity staffers and volunteers oversee almost 900 chapters nationwide.
CRU has more than 1,700 chapters nationwide, up by 5 percent since four years ago, and more than 73,000 students are involved.
