A Pennsylvania school board has voted to replace a pre-meeting prayer with a moment of silence.

The decision came after the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation threatened to sue the Grove City Area School District over the prayer.

The school board originally refused to change their policy.

But Superintendent Richard Mextorf said they relented after researching court opinions that suggested the district would lose if they fought the lawsuit.
