Occupy Wall Street rallies are taking place across the country to mark the one year anniversary of the grassroots movement.
About a dozen protestors were arrested at a Monday morning march near the New York Stock Exchange. The demonstrators gathered earlier at Zucotti Park where the Occupy Wall Street movement started.
About 300 people observing the anniversary marched in Manhattan over the weekend.
The Occupy protest largely died out because of disorganization and lack of clear demands. What started as a protest against income inequality turned into a disconnected rant against everything wrong with the world.
Several arrests were made as the movement gained popularity. Some cities were even forced to remove protestors who often camped out for days, because of the public health hazard.
