Regent University opened in 1978 and today educates nearly 6,000 students. Now the university is a step closer to completing a chapel on campus.
The CBN and Regent University family celebrated together this past Friday as a 65-foot steeple was lifted to its permanent home atop the new chapel.
The afternoon held another special moment when the staff, led by CBN CEO Gordon Robertson, gathered to pray for the nation.
"Lord we ask and we come into agreement as we pray for America," Robertson prayed. "And we would humble ourselves and pray and turn to you and that you would heal our land."
Then the crowd watched as a 9-foot cross was place on the chapel's steeple.
The CBN campus now has a new symbol that demonstrates what it's been doing in the 50 years since its inception: spreading the Gospel throughout the world.
"May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you [His] peace," CBN founder Pat Robertson prayed over the gathering. "Amen."
