The weekend is here and those looking for something to watch at the movie theater will have plenty to choose from.
Focus on the Family's movie reviewer Bob Wasliszewski offered his thoughts on two of the films out this week, "Trouble With the Curve" and "Unconditional."
"Trouble With the Curve" stars Clint Eastwood as Gus Lobel, an elderly baseball scout whose daughter joins him for his final recruiting trip.
"Scouting for the major leagues is a complicated science of facts and feelings. Being a dad is sort of that way, too. Old Gus is great at the former, but the latter still gives him trouble," Plugged-In film critic Bob Hoose writes.
"Unconditional" is based on the real-life story of how newly widowed children's storybook writer Samantha Crawford is reunited with her friend Joe Bradford. She gets a frontrow seat as the man known as "Papa Joe" cares for the children in an impoverished Tennessee neighborhood.
"'Unconditional' asks the question, 'Is it possible to see the beauty of life and have hope for sunlight even when things are the darkest and stormiest? Children's storybook writer Samantha would've said no. But that was yesterday," Hoose writes.
