Spring Snow Storm Slams Midwest

Ad Feedback

A spring snow storm is slamming into the Midwest today.

It started as a windstorm that toppled trees and snapped power lines in California. Gusts topped 80 mph at some places in southern California.

That same blustery cold front has now spread from Montana to New Mexico, and it's whipping up blizzard conditions in some areas.

Up to 20 inches of snow are expected in the mountains of Colorado. And up to a foot of snow is predicted for Denver. Many schools there are closed and flights cancelled.

Tornados are possible all the way from Nebraska to Texas throughout the day.
