A Georgia man will face criminal charges after allegedly threatening to kill everyone at an elementary school near Atlanta.

Anxious parents feared another Newtown, Conn. type massacre as Michael Brandon Hill, 20, exchanged fire Tuesday with police at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy.

In the end, no one was killed, and the suspect was taken into custody. The gunman's brother said Hill has a history of mental issues.

"I couldn't tell you what his mindset was when he went up there. I honestly can tell you he's got a long history of medical disorders, including bi-polar," Timothy Hill told reporters.

School clerk Antoinette Tuff is being credited with calming the gunman down. She told ABC News she was scared like everyone else, so she just started praying in the Spirit.

She's giving God all the glory for the outcome.
