Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston took home the Heisman Trophy Saturday but the road to that honor was clouded with sexual assault allegations.
The alleged incident took place about a year ago, but prosecutors recently decided not to file charges of sexual assault against him.
The 19-year old college football star has also refuted those allegations.
Still, Winston was the overwhelming favorite to win college football's greatest honor. He won in a landslide vote, taking home the award in the seventh-largest margin of victory.
Winston is also only the second freshman to win the Heisman. He set records with 3,820 yards passing and 38 touchdown passes. He led the No. 1 Seminoles to a 13-0 record.
Winston was selected as the Walter Camp player of the year and he received the Davey O'Brien Award as the best college quarterback.
