Bishops: Obama Health Care 'Compromise' Not Enough

Ad Feedback

The nation's Roman Catholic bishops are still not happy with the Obama administration's compromise plan over birth control coverage, saying it just doesn't go far enough.

The bishops, led by New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan, want the government to make it clear that faith-affiliated hospitals and other non-profits are religious ministries.

The also say the revised Obama plan falls short because it still does not provide exemptions for business owners who have religious objections to providing certain contraceptives.

Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, talked more about what's at stake, on CBN Newswatch, Feb. 8.
