Super Bowl Sunday has turned into the second-biggest eating holiday in the United States, second only to Thanksgiving.
The most popular food: chicken wings. Initially, there was concern about a shortage of wings, but that didn't happen.
"They might be a little more expensive, but there is and will be plenty to go around," National Chicken Council spokesman Tom Super told Agence-France Press.
Americans consumed an estimated 1.25 billion chicken wings over the weekend.
The number two choice of Super Bowl cuisine was pizza.
Pizza Hut expected to sell more than 2 million pizzas Sunday, about 23 million feet of pizza.
Forbes Magazine pointed out that's enough pizza to cross the Golden Gate Bridge more than 1,200.
