Film Review: The Show Must Go On in 'Quartet'

Ad Feedback

The film "Quartet" tells the comedic yet dramatic tale of residents of a retirement home for aging opera singers.

Each year, the elderly occupants of Beecham House hold a concert on the birthday of Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi to raise funds for the retirement home.

But they may have to call it "curtains" when the unexpected arrival of a former grande dame surfaces feelings long buried.

Bob Waliszewski, director of Focus on the Family's entertainment review department Plugged In Online, shared his thoughts on the film, on CBN News Channel's Morning News, Feb. 8.
