The manhunt for the former Los Angeles police officer wanted for murder may have come to an end.
Authorities in Southern California are waiting for forensic tests to determine whether a body found in a burned-out mountain cabin is that of Christopher Dorner.
Witnesses spotted the former police officer Tuesday afternoon, not far from where his burned out truck was found last Thursday.
Police say Dorner broke into a home, tied up two people and stole a pickup truck.
The cabin in Big Bear Lake is where authorities say Dorner got into a firefight with police, killing one Tuesday. The cabin then caught fire.
Dorner was accused of killing three other people and allegedly targeted those he blamed for his firing.
Officials said they are waiting to use forensic testing to positively identify the remains.
