Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is returning to work Monday after receiving treatment for a blood clot in her head.
She spent three days in the hospital after doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up visit for a concussion she suffered in late December.
According to State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, the nation's top diplomat was eager to get back to work.
"She's looking forward to getting back to the office," Nuland said Thursday. "She is very much planning to do so next week."
Clinton is due to step down soon as secretary of state. Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry has been tapped to replace her.
