High-wire walker Nick Wallenda said he wants to take his next show on the road to New York City between the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings.

But New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said he would say no because it's too dangerous and could be hazardous to those on the ground if he fell.

Wallenda's walk across the little Colorado River Gorge near the Grand Canyon Sunday drew a huge television audience, reaching 13 million viewers at its peak.

Wallenda walked for 22 minutes on a 2-inch-thick steel cable, 1,500 feet high.
