A Muslim cleric in Florida has been convicted of sending thousands of dollars to the Taliban in Pakistan.
A federal jury found Hafiz Khan guilty on two charges of providing material support to terrorists and two charges of conspiracy. Each charge carries a 15-year sentence.
The 77-year-old imam said the money went to family members, charities, and religious schools in the Swat Valley.
The FBI said hundreds of taped conversations show Khan expressed support for Taliban attacks and even wanted to send $50,000 to the terrorist group.
