Evangelist Billy Graham made a rare public appearance Thursday night for his 95th birthday party.
Roughly 800 people packed into the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., to show their love and admiration for the man known as "America's pastor."
Among those gathered were Christian music artist Michael W. Smith and Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson.
After 70 years of preaching, Graham's birthday celebration wasn't merely a party - it was also a night to do what he's done his whole life: minister the gospel.
"The only way to the Father - Father God - is through his son, Jesus Christ," Graham said.

Guests, along with millions watching the broadcast, witnessed Graham's latest sermon, titled The Cross, featuring powerful stories of conversion from young Christian artists like Lecrae and Lacey Sturm.
Just as Graham has all these years in stadiums and on television, he ended his sermon with a straightforward call for salvation.
"Today I'm asking you to put your trust in Christ," he told the audience. "I'm going to ask you to say this prayer…"
At 95, Graham's life is still impacting millions and his legacy is strong.
