Movie Review: 'Book Thief' Is Inspiring, Family Friendly

A new inspirational movie, "The Book Thief," which recently hit theaters, remains relatively unknown but is rated well for family friendliness.

The movie is based on the book, which is takes place during WWII. It tells a story of Liesel, a young girl adopted by foster parents in Nazi Germany.

The family takes a risk by opening their home to a Jew in hiding. Liesel, who is learning to read, steals books from the Nazi book burnings. In doing so, she learns the power of words.

Bob Waliszewski, with "Plugged In Online" spoke with CBN News about "The Book Thief." He gave it a 3.5 out of 5 for family friendliness and recommends it for pre-teen ages and up. Click play to learn more about this movie.
