Focus on the Family's Bob Waliszewski spoke with CBN News Today about the box office openings for the beginning of November, "Ender's Game" and "Free Birds."

He gave "Ender's Game" a four out of five for family friendliness.

The movie features actors Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield. The futuristic sci-fi centers on a brilliant young boy who is recruited to lead fellow soldiers into a battle that will determine the future of Earth.

"Fortunately, the violence in the film is not bloody or gory in any way," Waliszweski said.

"Free Birds" tells the story of time traveling turkeys trying to change the course of history - and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.

The animated movie features the voices of Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, and Woody Harrelson. Waliszweski gave "Free Birds" another four out of five for family friendliness.

Waliszewski is director of Focus on the Family's entertainment review department Plugged In.
