Obama's Job Approval Drops as Shutdown Continues

Ad Feedback

President Barack Obama's job approval is dropping as the government shutdown drags on.

According to a recent AP/Gfx poll, only 37 percent of Americans approve of the way the president is doing his job, and 53 percent disapprove.

Nevertheless, Republicans are being blamed for the government shutdown by a 2-1 margin.

Republican House Speaker John Boehner and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have taken a huge hit from the mess in Washington, with both at 18 percent job approval.

Congress overall has just a 5 percent approval rating.
