TobyMac, Redman Win Big at Dove Awards

Christian singer and songwriter Matt Redman won a leading six trophies at the 44th annual Dove Awards.

Redman received the Dove for Songwriter of the Year, plus a best performance award and best song awards in the contemporary/pop and praise and worship categories.

Chris Tomlin, Tasha Cobbs and Jason Crabb each won three awards.
    
Rap artist Lecrae won for rap and hip hop album of the year and rap/hip hop song of the year.

Tamela Mann won two awards for traditional gospel album of the year and traditional gospel song of the year.

TobyMac also took two home awards for pop/contemporary album of the year and artist of the year.

Former American Idol finalist Colton Dixon won for best Rock/Contemporary album of the year.
    
The Dove Awards will air Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on UP TV.
