'SURGE' Event Tackles Teens' Deepest Fears

More than 40 percent of teens who attend church in high school will give up on religion by the time they're 30 years old, according to a study by the Barna Group.

To combat the trend, Teen Mania founder Ron Luce is launching a new way to strengthen the faith of young adults.

He's hosting a one-of-a-kind, interactive event, called the SURGE Experience, which will take place on the big stage and the big screen on Oct. 9 and Oct. 16.

"SURGE is an experience like you've never seen before that will address some of the top fears teens have expressed as they delve into their school year. Fears like bullying, school violence, drug use, peer pressure, acceptance and rejection, economic worries, and depression," Luce said.

"It's designed to empower teens to not only face their fears with courage and hope, but to impact the world around them for good," he explained.

Luce talked more about the SURGE Experience on CBN News Today, Oct. 7.
