A pastor was shot to death in front of his church members, Friday at Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center in Lake Charles, La.
Rev. Ronald Harris was preaching when a man walked in and began shooting. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect and prior church member, Woodrow Karey, has no known criminal history. Police charged Karey, 53, with second degree murder after he confessed to 911 dispatcher.
The reverend's daughter, Talisha, spoke on her father's behalf, saying if he could talk to his killer he would forgive him.
"My dad had a big heart," she said. "He'd help anybody."
Police say Karey's motive is still unknown and an investigation is underway.
