More Americans are growing skeptical of the Bible, according to a new poll from the American Bible Society.

The survey found that one in five Americans doubt the Bible's relevance and authority, twice the amount of those skeptical in 2011.

The biggest increase in feelings of indifference was among Millennials, or those aged 18 to 29 years old.

According to the report, Millennials are less likely to believe the Bible provides everything a person needs know how to lead meaningful life. They're also less likely to read the Bible.

American Bible Society Spokesman Geof Morin said they hope to reach more of that generation through cell phones with daily verses and Bible studies.
