Republicans and some Democrats are calling on President Barack Obama to approve the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

The State Department has released a new report showing the project doesn't pose any serious problems for the environment.

The White House said it will study the report in the weeks ahead. But Republicans said it's time for the president to quit stalling on the $7 billion project.

The Keystone pipeline system carries oil from Canada into the United States.

The Canadian government is also pushing the White House to give the project the go ahead but the decision may still be months down the road.
