It's Fourth of July weekend and you may be wondering if there's anything worth watching at the movies.

The new science fiction adventure flick called "Earth to Echo," might at first seem like a family friendly movie reminiscent of E.T. However, movie reviewer Adam R. Holz warned that families should beware.

"Action fare aimed at and appropriate for younger audiences has all but disappeared," he said.

"If the engaging, old-fashioned adventure of an alien and the kids who help it seems like good fun for your family, take the time afterwards to talk through the issues of blatant deception, dangerous activities, criminal capers, and underage drinking," Holz said.

Bob Waliszewski, director of Focus on the Family's Plugged In, offered his take on CBN News Today, July 4.

He also talks about Dinesh D'Souza's new documentary "America," that imagines what would happen if America lost the Revolutionary War and never existed.
