Like most 4-year-olds, Justin Otero says the first words that come to his mind. Unfortunately, that tendency recently got him banned from a Connecticut donut shop.

Justin and his mom were at the Doughnut Inn in Monroe when he asked another customer if she was pregnant.

"It looked like she was pregnant and I asked her if she was pregnant," Justin explained.

"My response was, 'Oh my goodness! I'm so embarrassed. I'm so sorry,'" Rebecca Denham, Justin's mother, said.

But she said the woman wasn't too upset.

"She said, 'No problem, I get it all the time with the kids at nursery school," Denham recalled.

Nevertheless, the shop manager banned Justin from the store, which came as quite a shock to Denham.

"She said, 'He's not allowed in here,' and I looked around, and said, 'Him?' And she said, 'Yeah, he's rude,'" Denham recalled.

Justin's mom said he's been confused, asking her a lot of questions about why he's been banned.

In the end, Justin managed to boil it down to one statement: "Somebody got mad because she's really not very nice," he said.

Denham said they'll take their money and their business elsewhere.
