Two young Boy Scouts have done something quite remarkable: Sean and Eric Grapin have earned all 135 Boy Scout merit badges -- an extremely rare achievement.

"It's helped me be a better citizen and be a better person," Sean said.

Most Scouts don't earn every single badge, and even the ones who do don't usually reach that point until they're almost done with the Boy Scout program.

What makes Sean and Eric's story so amazing is that they're just 11- and 13-years-old. Sean is the youngest Scout in history to earn all 135 badges.

"When I first started I never thought I'd finish at this age," Sean said. "I just thought it was a lot of fun so I kept going for all the merit badges very quickly."

From archery to robotics to metal work, these two brothers have been quite busy in their quest.

But even highly motivated boys couldn't accomplish such a huge task without some help. Thankfully they have a very supportive dad.

"The bottom line lesson for them is, 'I can do it,'" their father, Mark Grapin, said.

MeritBadgeKnot.com reports only about 230 boys have earned all those badges in the history of scouting.

The Grapin brothers are members of Troop 345 at Wesley United Methodist Church in northern Virginia.
