Oklahoma's Supreme Court is ordering the state to implement its ruling to tear down a Ten Commandments monument on the grounds of the state's capitol.

The court ruled in July that the monument is a religious symbol that violates a state constitutional ban on using public property for the benefit of religion.

The state Supreme Court's decision reversed a ruling by a district judge who ruled last year that the privately funded monument could stay.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 11 to discuss how to comply with the Supreme Court's order.
