Rapper Lecrae Leads Dove Award Nominations

Lecrae is poised to add to his trophy shelf. The Christian rapper and businessman received more Dove Award nominations than any other artist.

His seven nominations include, Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year.
 
The Gospel Music Association announced the nominees Wednesday.

Lecrae earned a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Song/Performance for the track "Messengers" on his Anomaly album.
 
Lecrae's record label-mate, Trip Lee, is also nominated. Christian artists Jonathan McReynolds, Erica Campbell and Casey J. could also take home awards.
