Women in Combat: What Does God Say

Defense Secretary Ash Carter's decision to lift the ban on women serving in combat, last week, is one that is seeing major opposition.

Aside from the Marine Corps objection to the move, a recent survey revealed that a majority of men do not want women in special ops positions.

In a recent Rand Corp. survey, 7,600 men were asked how they felt about opening up combat jobs to women.

"Gender equality is not an option when the bullets are flying," one respondent said.

Some 85 percent of the respondents said they oppose opening the special operations jobs to women, and 70 percent oppose having women in their individual units, Military Times reports. More than 80 percent said women aren't strong enough and can't handle the demands of the job. And 64 percent said they aren't mentally tough enough.
