Although the Supreme Court has made same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states, the language in Idaho's constitution still defines marriage as only between a man and a woman.

In fact, Idaho is one of 30 states that amended its constitution to ban gay marriage and has yet take steps to repeal the amendment.

That definition is now unenforceable. But the American Civil Liberties Union still wants the language removed from Idaho's constitution.

Gay marriage opponents would like to see it left alone.

"Idaho should not remove that language," one traditional marriage supporter said. "There is no reason to obliterate traditional marriage. It's a symbolic and historic piece of language."
