Texas authorities are warning residents to be cautious during their daily driving as many communities remain flooded from recent heavy rains.

Officials are concerned about further flooding as the Trinity River continues to rise after heavy rains Sunday.

Meanwhile, Operation Blessing remains in the city of San Marcos, helping residents with recovery efforts.

Volunteers have been gutting houses damaged by floodwaters, removing sheet rock, debris, and working side by side with residents.

"We have tremendous help from Operation Blessing," homeowner Cesar Perez said. "They have a smile on their face; they're working hard."

Local churches are helping house out-of-town volunteers who've come to help.
