Missouri U. Steps Up Security after New Racial Threats
11-11-2015
The University of Missouri has increased security following new online racial threats and weeks of campus tension.
The college's website says police are "aware of social media threats" and are investigating.
There are reports of at least two social media posts, with one anonymous user announcing alleged plans to "shoot every black person I see."
This comes after the school's president and chancellor both resigned Monday amid protests over how the school handled other racial incidents.
A graduate student's hunger strike also led to more than 30 Missouri football team members refusing to play.
