The faith-based film "War Room" continues to win the battle at the box office, and its creators, the Kendrick brothers, are defying their critics at every turn.

Alex and Stephen Kendrick cast a Bible teacher, Priscilla Shirer, in the leading role for the film about the power of prayer.

Shirer is the daughter of Pastor Tony Evans and the founder of Go Beyond Ministries.

In her debut acting role, Shirer plays the character Elizabeth Jordan. Jordan is a wife and mother who learns the power of prayer as she watches her family fall apart.

Shirer spoke with CBN's Efrem Graham in Studio 5 about the film, faith and the real-life power of prayer. Click play to watch the interview.
