'Risen' in Top 3 at Box Office on Opening Weekend

The new Christian film "Risen" had a strong opening weekend, bringing in an estimated $11.8 million.

It finished number three at the box office.

"Risen," starring Joseph Fiennes and Tom Felton, tells the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of an unbelieving Roman Military Tribune, Clavius (Fiennes).
    
With a threatening uprising brewing in Jerusalem, Clavius and his aide, Lucius (Felton) are tasked with the mission to find the body of Jesus after it disappears from a secured tomb.
